You ever wonder or ask yourself, “Are we the baddies?” I’m sure you’re a perfectly wonderful human; but what if?
George G talks about some behaviors that, if engaged in, probably make you one of the bad guys, not the good guys. That being said, it’s not the end of the world, and there’s still time to course correct!

o upfront, upfront during our time today, I am going to be talking about good guys and bad guys. Now, that means boys and girls, men and women. So good guys, bad guys, I’m going to lump all human beings in to those two categories. If you don’t like that, I totally get it. If that’s offensive to you, or triggering to you, whatever, I absolutely get it, feel free to continue on with your day. So I guess that I just issued my first trigger warning. There it is. There it is. So fundamentally, there’s no such thing as a good guy or a bad guy. As Nietzsche, Nietzsche, Nietzsche famously said, the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties, either or right through every human heart. And through all human hearts, this line shifts inside us it oscillates with the years and even within hearts overwhelmed by evil, one small bridgehead of good is retained. Really powerful. So that line between good and evil, those polarities that we love so much. That’s good. That’s bad. Yes, no, Republican Democrat up down. True, False. It’s all it’s all BS. Because it’s inside all of us. false dichotomies, but we love we love those polarities. We love labels, because it helps our simple human brains. And this is me, for sure. I’m not saying I’m above any of this. It helps us to categorize things, I’ve got a lot of things to do today, got laundry to do, and dishes and food to prepare and kids to move around. And I got things to say about money stuff and have need to exercise and I’m tired. Or can I get a cup of coffee right now, the last thing I need to do is figure out the nuance of every little situation. So it’s easy to just put things in different buckets or containers. You understand what I’m saying? But it’s sloppy, it’s lazy. And we all know what, and you’re not good and you’re not bad. You’re good and bad. Or you’re bad. And you’re good. You can say that a lot of different fun ways. We’re all a little bit of each. And fundamentally human beings are fallen, which means that we all sin, have sinned are subjected to sinning in the future. think that the key is to strive, to do and to be good to strive to work to endeavor to be and to do good. And maybe that’s what I maybe that’s what I’m talking about today’s been and doing. It’s what do you intend to do? And then what do you actually do? And what do you put more weight on? What is of greater value? Is it your intention? Is it your action? Can’t we have both of these things? Do we have to have both of these things? Are they mutually exclusive? Wouldn’t it be? Is it is it good, better best? Is it the best if I set out to do good and do it? Is it okay? If I set out to do good but fall short? What if I set out to do good and just fucking ruin everything? Just trash everything. Then other great saying that path to hell is aligned with good intentions. If my intention through this new policy for the city that I’m the mayor of was to do good, but I ended up just just it’s a hot garbage dumpster fire. Was that okay? I intended to do well. But just things didn’t really work out the way that I expected. And then, of course, if I set out to do bad and I effectively do bad and I’m successful in my in my desire to do evil, and it works. Is that good? Huh? I set out to do bad and it ends up working out really well. And things go great. From somebody else’s perspective. Is that good? I think you understand what I’m saying. It’s interesting. So what do you intend to do and what you actually do? And then I think that for most of us, most of us and ideally, each of us sets out to do good. But too often, we set out to do good Good, good intentions, and then we lose the script. Sort of. So what was I doing here? What was I just saying? Like, oh, things went off the rails pretty fast there. So it’s just not not as easy as good guys versus bad guys. We know what you really want it to be a lot at a time. And more often than not, you think that you’re the good guy. And the guy that you think is the bad guy? Well, he thinks he’s the good guy, too. So that’s weird. Like on either side of a conflict? Well, there have to be two parties, at least, who are party to a conflict, two parties that are party to a conflict. And they’re both good guys. Are they both bad guys? Yeah. Yes. That’s, that’s the fundamental thing. You are the good guy, you are the bad guy. And your adversary is the good guy and the bad guy. Everybody’s wearing a white hat and black hat. So I guess everybody’s wearing gray hats. So have you ever have you ever seen the video, the two soldiers chatting? And it’s are we the baddies? It’s a really funny video. And I imagine that go to your go to YouTube or rumble or wherever you watch your videos, and type in Are we the baddies and you’re in for a real treat, as these two soldiers go through a journey of self discovery, and determine if in fact, they’re on the right side of history or the wrong side of history. So
that is, that is what I’m interested in exploring today. So what I wanted to do is submit some different scenarios there where if you are doing them, if you’re currently in the practice of doing these things, that you are the baddie. In the situation, you’re the baddie, you might think that you’re the good guy, or the goody, goody doesn’t sound as good as baddie, you think you’re the good guy. But if you’re doing these things, you are actually the baddie. All right, you ready? Let’s do it. If you compel, or work to compel other people to do what you want them to, you’re the baddie. Got it. So if you’re currently compelling, through compulsion, working to get other people to do what you want to get your way, you’re the baddie, you see if your ideas aren’t good enough, or if you’re not capable of communicating your good ideas, slash policies. And instead, you force you choose to force other people to do what you want. You’re the baddie. If you are disingenuous, and say whatever you need to say, in order to win an argument, you’re the baddie, you know, this person, or these people, person who’s not really interested in a genuine conversation. They’re not, they’re not entering the interaction with good faith. They’re interested in winning the conversation, you’re the baddie. don’t have anybody like that. Really. Just watch our politicians, just watch our elected officials. And you will get a sense of exactly what it is that I’m talking about. But of course, you know, those people. They’re easy to spot. They’re easy to spot. And more often than not, these are people that carry themselves as if they are great intellects if they are some form of academic or intellectual. But in reality, they’re just Midwich. They don’t have any good ideas at all. They don’t have any original ideas. They don’t think they probably a lot of these people have ever had an original idea. They have an agenda. They have things that they want to see implemented in put forth. And because they don’t have any original ideas, and their mid wits. They have to utilize disingenuous tactics in order to come out on top and to get their agenda pushed through so that you do the baddie, knock it off. Nobody wants to enter a comma sation with somebody that’s disingenuous or have a conversation that’s not in good faith. And a lot of ways, that’s one of the reasons that we find ourselves in the conundrum slash pickle that we do find ourselves in today, where we can’t find common ground, even though it’s all around us. Even though the line between good and evil is right down, it’s right down the middle of everybody. So don’t do that. Don’t be the baddie. have open and honest conversations. Admit when you’re wrong. And when you’ve learned something, be open to being wrong. Be open to learning something, don’t be so dug in. Next, if you judge people based on their immutable characteristics, you’re the baddie. Listen, I’m a lot more than just a pretty face, and a great head of hair. really am. And I know you are too. So it’s such a lazy thing. And again, so basic, and it’s the most basic thing in the world. That’s such a great term. Basic Bitch. It’s such a fucking basic bitch thing. To judge people based on their color of their skin, their ethnicity, stuff like that, how basic to think that you know, anything about another human being just based on that, give me a fucking break. That’s such a bad thing to do that in a bad way. That’s you, you’re the baddie. So you judge people based on the shit that they were born with, give me a break, you’re the baddie. Next, if you project you’re the baddie. That means if you’re accusing others of doing exactly what you’re doing, you’re the patty see above politicians number from a minute ago. Projection is the funniest thing in the world to me. And it’s the most obvious thing in the world. And we see this it’s littered throughout our politics on one side. So all you’re doing this, and they do this, and they do this, they’re thought that, wow, it seems from the outside looking in to the impartial observer, which we’ll endeavor to be, but none of us really are, that you’re doing exactly the thing that you’re accusing the other people of doing. And it’s really obvious, but you’re still doing it. You must work, right. People have been doing it for a really long time. We do it in our personal lives, probably do it in business, certainly do it culturally, and it politics and everything else. But it’s it’s gross, it’s dumb. Don’t do that. If you do that you’re the baddie. Next, if you’re a liar, you’re the baddie. If you straight up, tell bold faced lies, you’re telling half truths, if you’re committing lies of omission if you’re playing word games, to manipulate others again to get your way. Guess what? You’re the baddie, we are awash with self centered egotistical megalomaniacs who seek to enrich themselves at the expense of others, and future generations? And if that’s you, you’re the baddie. Can you even imagine being so self centered, that you would do things to make yourself happier, enrich yourself today, even though it would cost your own children their future? It’s crazy to me. There’s a lot of people that do that. And they are the baddies. The vine joy, and celebrate when somebody who doesn’t share your opinion or point of view gets hurt. You’re the baddie. There’s a baddie. It’s easy to do. Easy to do, maybe even natural thing to do is that we dehumanize people in the public eye. Very easy, because we don’t know them. Never probably never will encounter them. So it’s easy to dehumanize them, they’re famous. Fuck that guy. Fuck that girl. He she sucks. They’re baddies. But there’s still people. These are still people, all of them with moms and dads, husbands and wives brothers and sisters. sons and daughters, families, people, they love people who love them. So let’s not lose our humanity. If you do, you’re celebrating when people are getting hurt. Here baddie, knock it off. It’s clear our heads a little bit, refocus, recalibrate, what are we doing? If you think you’re too busy, to get involved, you’re the baddie. Apathy is the killer. It’s a killer. It’s a killer of organizations. It’s a killer of relationships. It’s the killer of teams and companies and movements. It’s everything. It is a killer. Leave it up somebody else, somebody else do this abdicating responsibility. We’re struggling for meaning so many of us are struggling, wanting, looking for desiring a meaningful life. When it’s all around us. Opportunities to lead meaningful lives are all around you. It’s there everywhere. Look around, see opportunities, where there are opportunities because somebody has dropped the ball. And sitting there on the ground, nobody’s picking it up.
And it’s as simple as showing up. You said you’re going to be somewhere, show up. I know you’re tired. Got a laundry list of stuff you’re supposed to be doing. You ought to be doing you could be doing. All these things are true. You got to show up. Do your part by doing your best. That’s it show up. If you’re too busy to show up, if you wait till tomorrow, putting that off. You’re the baddie, you let somebody else do that up. Steve will do that. George will do it. You pick up you lead you. So what do you think? What are some additional examples of this? So a quick list but some that just have been on my mind quite a bit. And I imagine you’re as frustrated as I am by a lot of the discourse going on by have won by a lot of what you see going on in the world. So what do you think? I’d love to hear from you. Life is not a game of perfect. None of us are perfect, far from it. We’re all flawed. We’re fallible, we’re fallen that fell ability to fall in nature of human beings. These are features that are not bugs. The idea is to do our best to be our best it’s been and doing it’s striving to do our best to be our best. Like something like everything else. You know two things can be true at the same time. So again, do your part by doing your best

So if I want my iPhone, and my Tesla and my Bitcoin to work, we need to get the metal out of the ground.
Pierre Leveille 16:07
Absolutely. Without it, we cannot do it.
george grombacher 16:13
Why? Why is there a Why has production been going down.
Pierre Leveille 16:21
Because the large mines that are producing most of the copper in the world, the grades are going down slowly they’re going there, they’re arriving near the end of life. So and of life of mines in general means less production. And in the past, at least 15 years, the exploration expenditure for copper were pretty low, because the price of copper was low. And when the price is low, companies are tending to not invest more so much in exploration, which is what we see today. It’s it’s, it’s not the way to look at it. Because nobody 15 years ago was able to predict that there would be a so massive shortage, or it’s so massive demand coming. But in the past five years, or let’s say since the since 10 years, we have seen that more and more coming. And then the by the time you react start exploring and there’s more money than then ever that is putting in put it in expression at the moment for copper at least. And what we see is that the it takes time, it could take up to 2025 years between the time you find a deposit that it gets in production. So but but the year the time is counted. So it’s it’s very important to so you will see company reopening old mines, what it will push also, which is not bad, it will force to two, it will force to find a it will force to find ways of recalibrating customer, you know the metals, that will be more and more important.
george grombacher 18:07
So finding, okay, so for lack of a better term recycling metals that are just sitting around somewhere extremely important. Yeah. And then going and going back to historic minds that maybe for lack of technology, or just lack of will or reasons, but maybe now because there’s such a demand, there’s an appetite to go back to those.
Pierre Leveille 18:33
Yes, but there will be a lot of failures into that for many reasons. But the ones that will be in that will resume mining it’s just going to be a short term temporary solution. No it’s it’s not going to be you need to find deposit that will that will operate 50 years you know at least it’s 25 to 50 years at least and an old mind that you do in production in general it’s less than 10 years.
george grombacher 19:03
Got it. Oh there we go. Up here. People are ready for your difference making tip What do you have for them
Pierre Leveille 19:14
You mean an investment or
george grombacher 19:17
whatever you’re into, you’ve got so much life experience with raising a family and doing business all over the world and having your kids go to school in Africa so a tip on copper or whatever you’re into.
Pierre Leveille 19:34
But there’s two things I like to see and I was telling my children many times and I always said you know don’t focus on what will bring you specifically money don’t think of Getting Rich. Think of doing what you what you like, what you feel your your your your your, you know you have been born to do so use your most you skills, do what you like, do what you wet well, and good things will happen to you. And I can see them grow in their life. And I can tell you that this is what happens. And sometimes you have setback like I had recently. But if we do things properly, if we do things that we like, and we liked that project, we were very passionate about that project, not only me, all my team, and if we do things properly, if we do things correctly, good things will happen. And we will probably get the project back had to go forward or we will find another big project that will be the launch of a new era. So that’s my most important tip in life. Do what you like, do it with your best scale and do it well and good things will happen.
